Data Engineer SAS Banking

VAM Systems is currently seeking a Data Engineering Analyst for our Bahrain operations. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, B.E., MCA, or equivalent certification in SQL and SAS
• Experience of 5-8 years in data analysis and data warehousing
• Strong understanding of banking, financial reporting, and data engineering
• Hands-on experience with MS Excel and project management skills
• Ability to support finance teams with data analysis, reporting, and data quality reconciliation
• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, and related data transformation and automation tools
• Experience with SAS Management Console, SAS DI, SAS Enterprise Guide, and other SAS tools
• Ability to coordinate with finance and data engineering teams to develop data-driven solutions

The key responsibilities include supporting finance data analysis, ensuring data quality, maintaining reporting logic, and supporting ad-hoc requests and regulatory reporting. The candidate should be able to work closely with finance and data engineering teams to identify issues and develop solutions.
