As a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of our operations. The primary mission is to minimize workplace health and safety risks and ensure adherence to environmental regulations. You will conduct inspections, evaluate protocols, and implement procedures to safeguard the health and well‑being of all employees and the environment.
This position requires a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of safety and environmental standards, and the ability to communicate effectively to ensure that everyone on site understands and complies with these essential protocols. Your expertise will contribute significantly to maintaining a safe working environment and fostering a culture of safety and sustainability within the organization.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify health and safety hazards.
- Develop and implement safety programs to improve workplace safety standards.
- Prepare detailed reports on all safety inspections, audits, and investigations.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Conduct training sessions to educate employees on safety protocols and practices.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
- Collaborate with management to develop action plans for hazard mitigation.
- Monitor compliance with environmental regulations regarding waste management and emissions.
- Advise the organization on legal requirements relating to HSE compliance.
- Review and update the organization's HSE policies and procedures regularly.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and evaluate their effectiveness.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness at all organizational levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 3‑5 years of experience in HSE inspection or related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of national and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to train and advise staff.
- Proven ability to prepare clear and concise inspection and incident reports.
- Certification in HSE practices, such as OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent is preferred.
