Senior BIM​/CAD Technician; Drainage

Job Description

Parsons is looking for a Senior BIM/CAD Technician to join our team. In this role you will perform basic to moderately-difficult design and drafting assignments.

• Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with policies and timely implementation.
• Develop engineering drawings including arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details from sketches and engineering information.
• Understand BIM modeling process and manage all BIM activities from start-up to completion.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards in accordance with company QA/QC process.
• Create parametric and non-parametric families.
• Apply LOD requirements.
• Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
• Use Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and produce clash reports.
• Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
• Perform other responsibilities as may be appropriate.

• Diploma or degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum 10+ years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting experience in Wet Utilities projects.
• Software experience:
  AutoCAD, Micro Station, Autodesk Civil 3D & Navisworks.
• Common Data Environment:
  Project Wise & BIM
  360.

• Good knowledge in BIM, understand LOD requirements and BIM processes.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
