Principal Traffic Engineer – Meinhardt Group

We are looking for a highly experienced Principal Traffic Engineer to lead and manage a portfolio of projects, ensuring the design, construction and delivery of traffic infrastructure to the highest standards. The role involves leading technical delivery, project management, business development and mentoring of engineering talent.

• Management of M&E deliverables from concept design to construction stage support, including scheduling and budgeting on a variety of building projects.
• Closely monitor and ensure the profitability of projects undertaken by the team.
• Set up effective project monitoring, delivery and implementation strategy including overseeing technical performance and timely (and profitable) execution of all projects.
• Establish competent delivery systems/resources and implement adequate QA/QC systems for all stages of the projects.
• Ensure team members adhere to Company rules and regulations and comply with ISO Quality Procedures.
• Provide technical guidance to the project and design engineers and resolve any technical problems faced during project design and or construction stages.
• Undertake responsibilities of a Qualified Person and/or Licensed Electrical Worker for the projects.
• Manage costs, cash‑flow and profitability of all projects.
• Plan and adjust resources and redeploy to match project workload.
• Assist Directors and team leaders in tender submissions.
• Prepare technical presentations.
• Train and mentor engineers.
• Prepare and own a Business Plan.
• Identify, pursue and win work based on the Business Plan and agreed KPIs.
• Participate in business development and marketing.
• Lead and direct bids.

• Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Singapore (Mechanical or Electrical) or hold a Chartered/Fellowship status with a relevant institution.
• At least 15 years of consultancy experience with reputable consulting engineering practices in Singapore or overseas.
• Demonstrated technical expertise and successful track‑record of delivering projects on time and within budget across infrastructure, commercial, retail, hotels/ leisure, hospital/healthcare and mission‑critical facilities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and client‑interfacing skills.
• Strong leadership skills to manage and develop teams.
