Wood is recruiting for a Lead Civil/Structural Engineer to join its UAE Business Unit focusing on executing assigned scopes of work for a Major Onshore Brownfield Project in Dubai, UAE. This role is a full‑time office‑based role in Dubai with travel requirement.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Definition and approval of technical scopes

• Assist in establishing project aims and outcomes.
• Evaluate current procedures and recommend improvements.
• Make recommendations on organization requirements and technical innovations.

Executing assigned scopes of work

• Supervise and participate in delivery of complex engineering tasks.
• Conduct investigations, prototypes, and studies to recommend solutions.
• Resolve issues such as conflicting design requirements and coordination.
• Coordinate implementation of design engineering solutions.
• Review documentation for accuracy.
• Supervise complex engineering tasks within major projects.
• Diagnose situations and identify appropriate actions.
• Exercise business judgement to produce practical, economical solutions.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Assess work against standards and specifications.
• Comply with discipline‑specific procedures and provide feedback for improvement.
• Manage key stakeholders in contracted activities.
• Lead and participate in design reviews.

Providing technical expertise

• Provide expert advice on design processes and construction methods.
• Advise on development of new engineering methods and long‑range planning.
• Apply research data to solve complex problems.
• Act as Technical Authority when appointed.
• Evaluate options and select technical solutions optimizing success.
• Act as custodians for bids and proposals.
• Maintain awareness of technical advancements.
