Senior Quantity Surveyor - MEP

Summary

BK Gulf LLC is currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor specialized in MEP to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the quantity surveying duties related to MEP projects.

• Ensure that only approved suppliers and subcontractors are utilized on a project. Liaise with the Project Manager to prepare draft sub-contract documentation (including bid tabs/analysis) and to assist the Project Manager in obtaining the best commercial and technical deal available in the market. The quality assurance requirements of sub contracts must be addressed.
• Administer the insurance and bonds for sub-contractors on the approved format.
• Purchase orders will be raised by Head Office Purchasing department but enquiries, bid tabs, negotiations and requisitions (based on quantities provided by Site Engineers) will be prepared/carried out by Project QS in liaison with the Project Manager and monitor the purchasing by using the Material Tracking system. Ensure that requistions are commercially correct and that the company interests in terms of budget and performance are protected.
• Cost code all requisitions.
• Ensure any design liability is properly recognized and in particular, place design agreements with Consultants and check professional indemnity (PI) cover. Note that such agreements may require Group approval and sufficient time is to be allowed.
• Monitor correspondence to ensure that company does not accept design liabilities that are not embodied in the contract.
• Produce commercial reports to include in the weekly site reports and to attend weekly and monthly site meetings for sub packages.
• Verify the financial stability of any overseas suppliers prior to placing of orders.

• UAE/MOFA attested Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in MEP projects.
• Knowledge of MEP systems and materials.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant software and tools.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS or equivalent) is a plus.
