About the RoleThe Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and executing all on‑site aluminum, steel, and glass installation works, ensuring activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and STEEL DISTRICT quality standards. This role focuses on technical execution, site coordination, and manpower supervision, while all factory production and fabrication planning remain under the responsibility of the Production Engineer.
ResponsibilitiesSite Execution & Supervision
- Supervise daily installation works for curtain walls, handrails, balustrades, and related glass works.
- Ensure installations are executed strictly as per approved shop drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Plan daily site activities and allocate manpower efficiently.
- Ensure proper sequencing of installation works.
- Monitor workmanship quality on site.
- Ensure correct alignment, operation, sealing, and finishing.
- Prepare, track, and close snag lists prior to handover.
- Coordinate rectifications with site teams as required.
- Lead and supervise site teams including helpers and subcontractors.
- Maintain discipline, productivity, and professional conduct.
- Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Provide on‑the‑job guidance and support to improve performance.
- Coordinate with main contractors, consultants, and clients (site‑level coordination).
- Attend site meetings when required.
- Communicate site conditions, measurements, and constraints clearly to the Production Engineer, management, and support smooth coordination between site and factory.
- Enforce PPE usage and site safety rules at all times.
- Ensure works are carried out safely and in compliance with UAE safety regulations and project safety requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
- Request materials through the Production Engineer / management.
- Ensure correct materials are received on site.
- Supervise proper handling, storage, and protection of glass.
- Minimize damage, wastage, and loss.
- Prepare and submit daily progress reports, manpower reports.
- Highlight delays, risks, or issues early.
- Support handover documentation and DLP follow‑ups as required.
- Travel between multiple sites as required.
- Support urgent inspections, site visits, and coordination.
- Use company vehicle responsibly if assigned.
- Minimum 10 years experience in aluminum & glass installation works in the UAE.
- Proven experience supervising site teams for doors & windows, facades & curtain walls, glass works.
- Diploma or technical qualification in construction, mechanical, or civil works (preferred).
- Valid UAE driving license mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of aluminum systems (sliding, bifold, swing systems), curtain walls, shower systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- One month paid annual leave.
- Return air ticket every two years.
- Company‑provided SIM card.
