Job Description: The Civil Inspector will supervise and inspect stormwater drainage and microtunneling works, ensuring all civil activities meet approved drawings, specifications, and project standards while complying with quality, safety, and authority requirements.

• Review and apply all applicable codes, standards, and project specifications related to stormwater and microtunneling works.
• Conduct daily inspections to verify that construction activities comply with approved shop drawings, method statements, and specifications.
• Monitor and inspect excavation, shoring, back filling, microtunneling drives, shaft construction, reinforcement, concrete pouring, waterproofing, and finishing of stormwater structures.
• Verify alignment, gradients, and levels for pipelines, chambers, and manholes to ensure design compliance.
• Ensure contractor works comply with Dubai Municipality (DM), RTA, and other authority standards and approved QC procedures.
• Record and report daily manpower, equipment, and material deliveries on‑site.
• Supervise concrete curing, coating, and lining works for stormwater structures.
• Assist the Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer in issuing site instructions and verifying contractor responses and close‑out.
• Coordinate with contractors to resolve civil works issues and follow up on corrective actions.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, including observations, progress updates, test results, and safety notes.
• Support surveying and measurement verification for pipe routes, invert levels, and structural tolerances.
• Monitor and support testing, commissioning, and handover of stormwater networks and associated civil works.
• Assist in reviewing RFIs, method statements, and variance requests related to civil activities.
• Coordinate with client representatives and authority inspectors during inspections and document all findings.
• Maintain organized records of inspections, NCRs, test results, as‑built updates, and executed works.

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Certification in construction supervision, QA/QC inspection, or site management is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Dubai Authority requirements (RTA, DM, DEWA, etc.) for infrastructure and microtunneling works.
• Familiarity with project specifications, testing procedures, and safety regulations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and electronic inspection/reporting tools.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure and utilities construction supervision, especially stormwater, drainage, and microtunneling works.
• Proven experience inspecting deep excavations, shafts, reinforced concrete structures, and large‑diameter pipelines.
• Strong understanding of inspection and test plans (ITPs), material testing, and QA/QC procedures.
• Prior UAE experience, preferably within Dubai, working with RTA or DM projects.
• Excellent observation, reporting, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi‑disciplinary site teams.
