Position Overview AECOM is hiring an experienced Materials Inspector to support major roads, infrastructure, bridges, and sewage treatment plant projects in Dubai. This role focuses on ensuring that all materials and construction activities meet approved specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The position works closely with the site supervision team under the direction of the Resident Engineer and plays a key role in maintaining construction quality and compliance across critical infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities Inspect site conditions prior to commencement of construction activities and verify compatibility with approved permanent works, particularly for sewage treatment plant infrastructure Identify and document existing utilities, assets, and potential obstructions that may be affected by construction works Ensure protection of all existing facilities and utilities before construction activities begin Review delivered materials and equipment to confirm compliance with approved material submittals, samples, and technical specifications Verify correct storage and handling of materials to prevent damage or contamination, including mechanical equipment, piping, valves, and process-related components Inspect temporary and permanent works to ensure compliance with contract documents, approved shop drawings, and QA QC standards Maintain daily inspection records, logs, test results, and progress reports in line with contract administration procedures Monitor safety compliance on site and report hazards or concerns promptly to the Resident Engineer Support inspection of completed works, prepare punch lists, and assist with testing, commissioning, and handover activities Review RFIs and material-related variance requests, providing technical input and recommendations Interpret drawings and specifications and enforce compliance during material installation and usage Ideal Profile Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant technical field Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory materials testing and field inspection Experience on roads, bridges, and infrastructure projects, preferably including sewage treatment plant works …
