Connexa Recruitment is working in partnership with an award-winning International Architectural Design practice that is seeking a Senior Project Manager/Senior Resident Engineer for a prestigious project on site in Dubai.
RoleEnsure smooth transition from pre‑contract to post‑contract, including full liaison with all parties and ongoing assistance to pre‑contract divisions. Manage and deliver projects during the post‑contract period in accordance with contractual requirements, documenting and supervising site staff and associated teams. Participate in overall management and operation of the Supervision Department and its development.
Responsibilities- Act as the Engineer under the Contract if required under the Consultancy Agreement.
- Draft, review, and issue contractual correspondences, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Chair and minute Project Weekly/Fortnightly Technical Meetings.
- Chair and minute Project Weekly/Fortnightly Progress Meetings with all parties, including Client Representative if required under the Consultancy Agreement.
- Prepare and issue all Engineers Instructions if required.
- Prepare and issue Payment and Completion Certificates in accordance with Contract requirements and project cost consultants.
- Work with Senior Project Engineers and Project Engineers to review all material and document submittals, including Contract Programme, labour forecasts, cash flow charts, method statements, drawing submissions, etc.
- Final sign‑off of all submittals as signatory for the Engineer.
- Manage the relationship between the Site and Head Office Design teams, ensuring timely and technically accurate issue of required drawings, additional information, and technical responses to project RFIs.
- Track and ensure local Authority approvals required by the Contractor/Consultants are signed off and cleared in line with the Construction Programme.
- Prepare and issue all project non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and close‑out.
- Work with Senior Project Engineers to technically review Contractor variation claims and advise the validity to the cost consultant and Client.
- Review Contractor extension of time claims and advise technical validity.
- Full Client liaison to ensure all issues are dealt with promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and issue Monthly Progress Reports, as required.
- Program and prepare Architectural mock‑ups for approval by both the Consultants and Clients to ensure timely approval and procurement of all materials.
- Provide overview on all Contractual and Key Project issues across the practice (major claims, project delays, client changes) and assist individual Project Team members to address key issues.
- Assist in developing Procedures and Processes in coordination with the Site Teams to improve efficiency and performance relating to overall Contract Administration and Supervision project activities.
- Manage Site Teams, including resource allocation and tracking to ensure efficient resource utilisation and avoid staff overload.
- Manage Red Pen Reviews and Workshops on upcoming projects; reviews typically take place at either Schematic or Detailed Design Stage to ensure Constructability comments are fed back into the designs.
