Job Role
Group Public Relations Officer (PRO) Core Objective To manage all government-related documentation and legal formalities across the group's diverse portfolio. The PRO ensures that all trade licenses, employee visas, and industry-specific permits (Municipality, Civil Defense, Health) are processed accurately and on time to avoid operational delays or fines.
Key Responsibilities- Visa & Immigration Management:
Handle the end-to-end process for employee visas (labor contracts, medicals, Emirates IDs, and residency stamping) for a large, multi-national workforce. - License Renewals:
Monitor and execute the renewal of Trade Licences, Chamber of Commerce certificates, and lease agreements for the group of companies. - Industry-Specific Compliance:
Foodstuff – manage food safety permits, vehicle permits for distribution, and health certificates from the Municipality. - Government Liaison:
Build and maintain strong relationships with officials at the Ministry of Labor, Immigration, Economic Department, and specialized authorities (e.g., RTA, Municipality). - Legal Documentation:
Attest legal documents, power of attorney, and commercial contracts at the courts or notary public. - Reporting:
Maintain an organized tracking system for all expiry dates (visas, licences, permits) and provide weekly status reports to the Group HR or Operations Manager.
- Regulatory Expertise:
Deep understanding of local Labour Laws, Immigration laws, and the specific regulations governing the food and construction industries. - System Proficiency:
Advanced knowledge of online government portals (e.g., Tasheel, Amer, e-Dirham, and Municipality portals). - Bilingual Communication:
Fluency in Arabic (written and spoken) is usually mandatory for dealing with government officials, coupled with professional English for internal reporting. - Logistics & Planning:
High level of organisation to manage varying deadlines across multiple companies simultaneously.
- Experience:
Minimum 5–8 years as a PRO, with at least 2 years in a "Group" of companies environment. - Industry Background:
Direct experience in the Construction and Food & Beverage sectors is highly preferred due to their complex permit requirements. - License: A valid local Driver’s Licence and a personal vehicle are typically required for frequent travel to government offices.
- Problem‑Solving:
Ability to navigate bureaucratic hurdles and find solutions when applications are rejected or delayed. - Discretion:
Handling sensitive company documents and employee personal data with high integrity. - Negotiation:
Tact to expedite processes and manage interactions with government representatives effectively.
