To provide appropriate professional medical nutrition therapy and counselling to inpatients, outpatients and family members to ensure that the health needs of patients are cared for and improve lifestyles.
To ensure patient safety and quality by monitoring food service operations to ensure compliance with nutritional and sanitation standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS- Effective and efficient implementation of dietary care plans for inpatients and outpatients
- Monitor and manage food service operations to ensure patient safety and positive patient experiences
- Orientate new food services and clinical employees on safe and healthy nutritional practices
- Develop, review, update and implement educational material on nutrition for patients and wider community
Essential:
Bachelors Degree in Nutritional Sciences or Dietetics or eligibility to be licensed as a Dietician in the UAE
Essential:
At least 2 years’ experience as a licensed Dietician in own country or UAE
Desired:
At least 2 years’ experience as a licensed Dietician in the UAE within an acute care facility (hospital experience preferred)
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Demonstrate the ability to collaborate with different stakeholders in the organisation
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
- Design and implementation of educational programmes
- Knowledge and understanding of food service operations, including food preparation, sanitation and procurement
- Plan and deliver healthy menus
