💡 Position Summary
We are hiring an Infrastructure Support Specialist – Oracle Core & Apps DBA to join a leading banking technology team in Dubai. This role is critical for ensuring robust database performance, high availability, and secure operations across Oracle Core and Applications environments.
- Install, implement, patch, upgrade, and administer Oracle Core and Applications environments
- Provide production support and troubleshooting for Oracle databases and applications
- Manage Oracle High Availability technologies (Dataguard, Cluster database systems)
- Perform backup, restoration, and cloning activities
- Optimize database and application performance through tuning and configuration
- Support middleware technologies and open-source infrastructure components
- Ensure compliance with licensing and security standards
- 5+ years of experience in Oracle Core & Apps DBA roles within large organizations
- Strong banking industry background
- Expertise in Oracle Core database and Oracle Applications
- Hands-on experience with Oracle High Availability technologies (Dataguard, RAC)
- Proficiency in tools/utilities:
Oracle Internet Directory, OEM, OAM, Audit Vault, RMAN, Data Pumps, backup/recovery models - Excellent troubleshooting, configuration, and performance tuning skills
- Knowledge of open-source infrastructure and licensing compliance
- Experience with Oracle Internet Application Server
- Familiarity with cloud-based Oracle deployments
- Exposure to automation tools for DBA tasks
- Strong scripting skills for database operations
- Knowledge of advanced security and auditing mechanisms
