Location & work mode

On-site in Dubai - relocation is expected. Travel and lodging assistance provided. Remote work is not the target for this position.

About the role

Our client is looking for a Product Engineer - a unique hybrid of engineer and product builder. You’ll bridge the gap between technical execution and product direction, helping to define, prioritize, and deliver new features in decentralized trading products.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, CTO, and engineering team, shaping product specs, debugging features, coordinating releases, and ensuring technical excellence aligned with business goals.

This position is ideal for a developer with strong product instincts or a product‑minded engineer who thrives in a fast‑moving DeFi startup.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business goals and product ideas into clear, technical specifications.
• Work closely with developers to break down features, manage priorities, and ensure feasibility.
• Participate in system design, testing, debugging, and product releases.
• Contribute to product roadmap and iterate based on data and feedback.
• Get hands‑on with code, infrastructure, or QA when needed - no ivory tower product work.
• Balance speed vs. stability, helping the team ship fast but safely.
• Collaborate directly with founders on DeFi product strategy and implementation.

• A technical product builder - you understand code, architecture, and users.

• Curious about DeFi, blockchain, and decentralized trading - or already active in this space.

Must‑have

• Experience as a Product Engineer / Product‑minded Developer / Technical PM.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile principles.
• Strong technical grounding in backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Go, or similar).
• Understanding of blockchain basics, smart contracts, or DeFi protocols.
• Ability to write concise, structured product specs and user stories.
• Analytical and problem‑solving mindset.
• French (required).

Nice to have

• Previous hands‑on development experience.
• Exposure to DEX aggregators, trading platforms, or on‑chain data systems.
• Familiarity with Solidity, Ethers.js/Web
  3.js, or related stacks.
• Experience working directly with founders or early‑stage startups.
• Interest in trading logic, tokenomics, or blockchain‑based economics.
