Email and Notification Infrastructure Engineer (Send Grid, Twilio, Knock)

We are building the High Ticket Ventures platform in Dubai and we want one person who lives and breathes notifications. Your entire focus will be to design, build and own our messaging layer for email, Whats App, SMS and in‑app notifications. Your job is to make sure every important message gets to the right user, on the right channel, reliably, at scale.

• Design and implement a unified Notification Service for the app
• Build an event‑driven layer so product code just calls notify(event, payload)
• Orchestrate multi‑channel flows using Knock (email, Whats App, SMS, in‑app)
• Integrate and configure Send Grid for transactional email with high deliverability
• Extend our existing Twilio setup beyond OTP into structured notification flows
• Set up logging and status tracking for every notification and channel
• Implement webhooks from Send Grid and Twilio back into the backend
• Build simple internal dashboards so we can see what was sent, delivered or failed
• Work with the founding engineer on priorities and edge cases
• Document how to add new notification events so the rest of the team can use the system

• Backend:
  Node.js, Type Script, Fastify, Prisma, Postgres, Knock, Twilio, Clerk
• Frontend:
  Next.js (App Router), React, Type Script
• Infra: GCP and related services

• Real experience with Send Grid and Twilio in production
• Experience with a notification platform like Knock or similar
• Strong understanding of email deliverability, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and IP or domain reputation
• Comfortable writing backend code in Node.js or Type Script
• Skilled in designing database schemas for logging and analytics
• Enjoy owning one area end to end and making it world class

• Experience with Next.js or Fastify
• Experience building internal admin dashboards

• Full time, 40+ hours per week
• 20 USD per hour
• Based in United Arab Emirates, remote friendly inside UAE
• You will work directly with the founder and founding engineer
