Calypso Techno-Functional Consultant –

We are seeking an experienced Calypso Techno-Functional Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Calypso platform, combined with strong business knowledge in capital markets and derivatives, and hands-on technical skills to design, configure, and integrate Calypso with enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Calypso customizations, interfaces, and enhancements using Java, Calypso APIs, and related tools.
• Integrate Calypso with upstream/downstream systems (market data, risk engines, settlement systems, etc.) using messaging middleware and APIs.
• Develop and optimize Calypso workflows, events, and scheduled tasks.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate with vendors for defect resolution.

• Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements for front-to-back trade lifecycle processes.
• Configure Calypso modules (Front Office, Risk, Back Office, Collateral Management, etc.) to meet business needs.
• Support product setup, pricing, risk calculations, and reporting functionalities within Calypso.
• Provide subject-matter expertise on capital markets products such as FX, fixed income, equities, commodities, and derivatives.
• Participate in UAT planning, test case creation, and defect resolution.

• Prepare and maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Provide production support and post-go-live enhancements.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Business, QA, Infrastructure, Vendor).

• Experience:
  
  8+ years in IT/Banking, with at least 4 years hands-on in Calypso (v15 or higher preferred).
• Functional Knowledge:
  Strong understanding of trade capture, pricing, risk, PnL, settlements, and collateral processes.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
• Proficiency in Java, Calypso APIs, and Calypso Customization Framework.
• SQL and database experience (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).
• Experience with messaging systems (MQ, Kafka, etc.) and XML/FPML formats.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery models.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Calypso certification (if available).
• Experience with cloud deployments of Calypso.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (MiFID II, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, etc.).
• Experience with Dev Ops tools for CI/CD in Calypso environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
