Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to design and implement scalable cloud-based data solutions to support enterprise-wide analytics and FP&A processes. This role is based on-site in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Candidates currently outside the UAE must be flexible and willing to relocate
. Short-term travel across the region may be required for critical project milestones and team collaborations.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
Experience:
- 8+ years in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or Cloud Architecture roles.
- Proven experience designing and deploying AWS Data Lake / Lakehouse architectures.
- Strong experience in enterprise-scale data integration and large data processing systems.
- Experience supporting FP&A, analytics, BI, or enterprise reporting environments is a plus.
Technical Proficiency:
- Hands‑on expertise with AWS services:
S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, Lake Formation
, and related tools. - Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
. - Deep knowledge of data modeling, schema design, warehousing concepts, and metadata management
. - Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Quick Sight
.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect

- Experience implementing advanced data security and compliance best practices.
AWS Data Architecture:
Design and implement scalable AWS Data Lake and modern data architecture solutions for large‑scale data management and analytics.
Data Integration:
Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS‑native tools and modern data engineering frameworks.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across ingestion and transformation flows.
Support for FP&A & Analytics:
Develop data integration solutions to support FP&A, financial reporting, forecasting, and enterprise decision‑making processes.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
Optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, cost‑efficiency, and automation

Data Governance & Security:
Implement and enforce best practices for data governance, data cataloging, lineage, security, IAM, and compliance across the Data Lake.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and analytics teams to deliver end‑to‑end data solutions aligned with business needs.
