IT Business and Technology Support Officer

The IT Business and Technology Support Officer will play a critical role in supporting the Digital Platform Services and Employee Experience (DPS & EE) department. The primary focus will be on deriving data-driven insights, improving business processes, and ensuring alignment with the department’s strategic objectives.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs an IT Business and Technology Support Officer, your responsibilities will include:
1.Driving Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and assess existing processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure best practices are followed and systems are aligned with strategic objectives.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and effective risk management.
Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams
- Work with various teams to gather and validate requirements for process improvement.
- Ensure alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
Designing and Implementing Process Improvements
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize operations and increase efficiency.
- Align improvements with industry best practices.
Supporting Project and Product Managers
- Assist in executing processes as per agreed deliverables and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Raise service credit requests to vendors when necessary.
- Conduct monthly service reviews and follow up on escalated items.
Managing Change Requests
- Initiate change requests and ensure compliance with the IT Governance Framework.
Maintaining Management Information
- Keep a comprehensive repository of process performance data, meeting minutes, RAID logs, and escalated items.
Analyzing Data and Generating Reports
- Analyze key datasets to create reports and presentations with actionable insights.
- Support DPS & EE capability leads in tracking and reporting OKRs, KPIs, and SLAs.
Promoting Cost Awareness
- Apply Fin Ops practices to build a cost-aware culture across the department.
- Focus on areas such as Private Cloud, Networking, Database, and Public Cloud.
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Background- A degree or honours (12+3 or equivalent) in fields such as Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, Economics, or Project Management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing financial aspects of IT projects or related fields.
- Proficiency in collecting, curating, and analyzing data to derive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with financial management tools like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, cloud cost management platforms, Power
BI, and Excel.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reporting.
- Knowledge of IT cost components, drivers, and optimization strategies.
- Experience in supporting budgeting, planning, and forecasting for IT initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with IT, finance, procurement, and other departments.
- Ability to identify and assess risks related to IT initiatives and contribute to mitigation strategies.
