Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our tech team and help ensure the quality and reliability of our geolocation technology. In this role, you will focus on developing comprehensive testing strategies, building automated test frameworks, and maintaining quality standards while ensuring seamless user experiences across our platform. You will lead QA initiatives and mentor junior QA engineers on the team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and implementation of comprehensive testing strategies for mobile (iOS and Android) and desktop applications, including test automation frameworks and best practices.
- Develop and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and Appium for mobile and desktop platforms, leveraging industry‑standard tools and programming languages.
- Collaborate with development and SRE teams to identify quality risks, establish testing requirements, and ensure quality gates throughout the deployment pipeline.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, test cases, and QA processes for ongoing reference and team knowledge.
- Execute comprehensive testing of geolocation functionality, including GPS, Bluetooth connectivity, and other location‑based features.
- Test mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms, including user experience, performance, and edge case scenarios.
- Implement automated testing in CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality assurance and faster deployment cycles.
- Identify, document, and track defects; work with development teams to prioritize fixes and verify resolutions.
- Ensure compliance and regulatory testing requirements are met for gaming and sports betting industry standards.
- Proactively identify and implement improvements to testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality metrics.
- Build and maintain tools for test data generation, test environment management, and reporting.
- Mentor and lead junior QA engineers, fostering collaboration and ensuring adherence to testing best practices and quality standards.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
- Strong hands‑on experience with mobile application testing (iOS and Android) and desktop application testing.
- Proven expertise with automation tools including Selenium and Appium for mobile and web testing.
- Strong experience with multiple programming languages for test automation (e.g. Java, Python).
- Knowledge of mobile testing best practices and tools for both iOS and Android platforms.
- Experience with AWS cloud platform and testing in cloud environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and integration with automated testing pipelines.
- Solid test case and defect management skills.
- Ability to analyze test results and provide insights to senior management and other teams.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to think both creatively and analytically.
- Proven experience working with teams, fostering collaboration, and driving quality initiatives.
- Ability to communicate effectively with development teams and cross‑functionally.
- A strong sense of ownership and accountability for product quality.
- A willingness to make decisions, exhibiting sound and accurate judgment.
- Experience with backend API testing tools and performance/load testing tools will be a plus.
- Experience in the iGaming and/or Sports Betting industry.
- Experience with geolocation testing and GPS/beacon verification technologies.
- Start‑up experience, with the ability to adapt quickly and drive projects to completion under time pressure.
- Knowledge of fraud detection testing and security testing methodologies.
