Role

Summary:

The Assistant Manager – CRO plays a key role in improving platform (app and web) conversion and enhancing product discovery by optimizing how customers find and engage with products across digital platforms for global brands (e.g., Nike, Sun & Sand Sports, JD Sports, Columbia, Vans). The role focuses on enhancing conversion by optimizing on‑site/app search, filters, product sorting, product recommendations, and pre‑order user experience through A/B testing, CRO audits, and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders (Trade, Marketing, Product, Tech) by leveraging analytics to find conversion gaps and drive search and product discovery enhancements, the Assistant Manager – CRO assists in delivering a seamless experience that boosts customer engagement and conversion.

Responsibilities
  • 1. Search Optimization & Management: Enhance on‑site search performance by managing search dictionaries, adding synonyms, refining query handling, and testing sorting logic to ensure accurate, relevant, and fast results for customers.
  • 2. Product Discovery Strategy: Develop and optimize product recommendation strategies and sorting rules that align with business goals, seasonal campaigns, and customer needs to enhance product visibility and drive engagement.
  • 3. Analytics & Conversion Insights: Leverage data and analytics to identify conversion optimization opportunities, customer friction points, and performance trends; translate insights into actionable improvements that enhance user experience.
  • 4. Technology & Innovation: Partner with Product and Tech teams to recommend, scope, and implement enhancements to improve platform conversion, search and product discovery, including AI‑driven solutions, and personalization.
  • 5. Quality Assurance & Relevance: Continuously test and validate search logic, recommendation modules, and product discovery touchpoints to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
  • 6. Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Collaborate closely with Trade, Marketing, Product, and Tech stakeholders to align product discovery and conversion optimization initiatives with business objectives.
Qualifications
  • 3‑6 years of experience in e‑commerce, digital product discovery, or conversion optimization, with a focus on search and recommendations.
  • Proven track record of improving on‑site search, sorting logic, and product recommendation strategies within consumer‑focused e‑commerce.
  • Strong understanding of e‑commerce conversion optimization and search platforms (Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Algolia, Elastic Search or similar).
  • Experience with A/B testing, experimentation frameworks, and data‑driven optimization
    · Familiarity with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar) to track conversion and discovery performance.
  • Knowledge of personalization, AI‑driven product discovery, and recommendation engines
    · Strong stakeholder management skills across merchandising, marketing, and technical functions.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate insights into scalable solutions
    · Hands‑on experience in SQL, Python.
