Information Technology Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in the retail industry to lead and deliver complex IT projects that support our client's omnichannel retail operations.
The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing projects related to e-commerce platforms, point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management software, supply chain integrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
You will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while aligning with business objectives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects from initiation to closure, including scope definition, resource allocation, timeline management, and risk assessment.
- Manage cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, vendors, and stakeholders across retail operations (e.g., stores, e-commerce, and supply chain).
- Lead implementations or upgrades of retail-specific technologies such as ERP systems, POS solutions, omnichannel platforms, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and data analytics systems.
- Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, status reports, and communication plans; track milestones and resolve issues proactively.
- Collaborate with retail business units to gather requirements, ensuring alignment with commercial goals (e.g., improving customer experience, optimizing inventory, or enhancing in-store technology).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, data security regulations, and best practices (e.g., Agile/Scrum methodologies).
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party integrations.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years specifically in the retail sector (e.g., fashion, grocery, or general merchandise).
- Proven track record of delivering retail IT projects, such as e-commerce migrations, POS rollouts, or supply chain digitalization.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile
PM, or Scrum Master) is required.
