Senior Data Manager – Dubai, UAE
Position: Senior Data Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE
Industry: Exhibitions/Conferences
Salary: AED 28,000–30,000 with family benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the evaluation, design, and potential migration of the current SQL-based Data Warehouse to Snowflake or a similar modern cloud architecture.
- Optimize existing data structures to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability across all event-related datasets.
- Develop and implement technical logic for Identity Resolution to "stitch" together disparate user touchpoints into a unified customer profile.
- Establish and maintain MDM protocols to ensure core entities (Exhibitors, Attendees, and Partners) are consistent, deduplicated, and accurate across all enterprise systems.
- Lead the Data Enrichment strategy by integrating external datasets and research build outputs into the central warehouse.
- Establish a comprehensive Data Governance framework, including data dictionaries, metadata management, and documentation.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or a similar Data Management role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale data migrations or building enterprise-level Data Warehouses from the ground up.
- Advanced SQL with experience in Cloud Data Warehouses (ideally Snowflake, Azure SQL, or Big Query).
- Experience building complex ETL/ELT pipelines and working with integration tools (Fivetran, dbt, Matillion, or similar).
- Expert knowledge of relational and non-relational data modeling, MDM principles, and Identity Resolution techniques.
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages for data manipulation and process automation.
- Experience in high-growth environments or organizations undergoing digital transformation/mergers.
- Ability to articulate complex architectural decisions to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
