Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Developer – Finance, Operations & HR/Payroll

The Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP Developer will be responsible for the design, development, customization, integration, and support of Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions, with a primary focus on Finance & Operations (F&O) and HR/Payroll modules.

The role supports critical financial, operational, and human capital processes, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements
. The developer will work closely with finance, HR, payroll, IT, and external vendors to deliver robust ERP capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities Dynamics 365 Development & Customization
  • Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and HR/Payroll modules.
  • Customize workflows, business rules, reports, forms, and extensions using best-practice development standards.
  • Develop and maintain X++ code, extensions, integrations, and data entities
    .
  • Ensure solutions follow Microsoft best practices and minimize over-customization.
Finance & Operations (F&O)
  • Support and enhance modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Procurement, and Project Accounting
    .
  • Implement and support financial controls, approval workflows, and reporting structures.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to translate accounting and operational requirements into system functionality.
HR & Payroll
  • Develop and support HR core, payroll, benefits, leave management, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Configure payroll rules, statutory deductions, allowances, and integrations with finance modules.
  • Ensure payroll processing aligns with local labor laws, tax regulations, and internal policies

Integrations & Data Management
  • Design and maintain integrations between Dynamics 365 and third‑party systems (banks, HR systems, reporting tools, data warehouses).
  • Support data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and auditability across modules.
Testing, Deployment & Support
  • Support unit testing, system testing, UAT, and production deployments
    .
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system defects, performance issues, and user‑reported incidents.
  • Provide post‑implementation support and continuous system optimization.
Governance, Security & Compliance
  • Ensure role‑based security, segregation of duties, and access controls are properly implemented.
  • Maintain documentation aligned with audit, risk, and compliance requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to ERP systems.
Candidate Profile Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Finance, or related field.
  • Microsoft Dynamics certifications are highly desirable (Dynamics 365 Finance, Supply Chain, or HR).
  • 4–8 years of hands‑on experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
    .
  • Proven experience with HR and Payroll module implementation and customization
    .
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated enterprise environments is strongly preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in X++, Dynamics 365 extensions, and data entities
    .
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Azure Dev Ops, LCS, and integration frameworks
    .
  • Experience with security roles, workflows, and reporting (SSRS, Power BI).
Functional & Soft Skills
  • Strong understanding of finance, accounting, HR, and payroll processes
    .
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Preferred Experience (Advantageous)
  • Multi‑country or multi‑entity ERP implementations.
  • Payroll localization and statutory compliance experience.
  • Experience supporting ERP upgrades and cloud deployments.
  • Exposure to audit, risk, and regulatory control frameworks.
