TITLE: AWS Data Architect (Data Migration & Lakehouse)

For our UAE based large organization client, we are seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to design and deliver large-scale, end-to-end data platforms and migration solutions on AWS
. The role involves building modern lakehouse architectures
, enabling cloud data migrations
, and designing business-ready data models for analytics and reporting.

IMPORANT
:
This is a fulltime
onsite opportunity in the UAE office (no remote/hybrid option)

• Design and build end-to-end data pipelines for on-prem to cloud data migration on AWS

• Architect and implement Lakehouse / Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)

• Design golden / modeled data layers for analytics and business consumption

• Implement CDC (Change Data Capture) mechanisms for near-real-time data processing

• Design and manage Iceberg tables on S3 with schema evolution and data versioning

• Define data models, schemas, and governance standards

• Ensure data handling aligns with regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR)

• Orchestrate batch and streaming workflows using modern AWS services

• Monitor, optimize, and secure data pipelines for performance, cost, and reliability

• AWS Services:
  AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda, EC2, Cloud Watch, MWAA (Airflow), Redshift, Dynamo
  
  DB, S3, Data Zone

• Data Architecture:
  Lakehouse / Medallion Architecture, Data Modeling, Golden Layer Design

• Data Engineering:
  CDC implementation, Batch & Pipeline orchestration, Schema design & evolution

• Storage & Formats:
  Apache Iceberg, data versioning, partitioning strategies

• Governance & Compliance:
  GDPR-compliant data handling, access controls, data lineage

• Migration
  
  Experience:
  
  
  Large-scale data migration to cloud (on-prem / hybrid to AWS)

• Minimum 8 to 15+ years of overall experience in data engineering and architecture

• Strong background in enterprise-scale cloud data platforms on AWS
