IT Security ( Mid-Level

Black Stone eIT is looking for a Mid-Level IT Security Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will enhance our IT security posture by implementing effective security solutions and addressing potential vulnerabilities. You will play a crucial part in protecting our organization’s information and technology assets while collaborating with various teams to ensure compliance with security protocols.

• Assist in the design and implementation of security measures to protect the organization's IT infrastructure.
• Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner, providing detailed analysis and reporting.
• Conduct security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Maintain and update security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
• Provide training and support to staff on security awareness and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and technology trends.
• Assist in compliance audits and assessments related to security standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT security roles.
• Strong understanding of network security principles, technologies, and protocols.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with security tools and technologies like SIEM, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar are advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
