Job Description Job Purpose
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining backup infrastructure, ensuring the integrity and availability of data, and supporting enterprise-level storage and virtualization solutions. This role requires expertise in backup process management, storage design, virtualization technologies, and enterprise systems administration.
Certifications- Commvault Certified Professional (CCP)
- VMware Certified technical Associate (VCTA)
- Information Storage and Management – Associate (DCA-ISM)
- ITIL Foundation
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the IT Infrastructure Backup Management with at least 3 years’ experience in managing large IT Projects.
Responsibilities- Manage and maintain backup systems using Commvault and Networker.
- Implement, monitor, and optimize backup processes to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
- Conduct regular backups, restore testing, and disaster recovery planning.
- Design, implement, and manage storage solutions using EMC storage systems.
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system upgrades for storage environments.
- Proficient in working Experience storage (SAN/NAS) and SAN switches, LUN Provision, and reporting (DELL EMC Unity, Dell EMC Data Domain, HPE-3
PAR,) - Experience in Virtualization technologies mainly in to VMware and HCI platforms like Dell VxRail, VCF, SRM, vRealize Suite, Workspace ONE/Air watch MDM including hands-on implementation.
- Manage and maintain VMware Horizon, Active Directory and Exchange environments.
- Oversee and troubleshoot issues with VMware Air Watch and Manage Engine components like ADManager, ADSelf Service etc.
- Document backup and storage processes, system configurations, and recovery procedures.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies, security standards, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with IT, network, and application teams to ensure seamless integration of backup and storage solutions.
- Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users as needed.
- Experience in Planning, conducting, and supporting ESXi version upgrades and migrations from legacy system to latest version.
- In-depth capability and understanding of Datacenter and Virtualization technologies and their application.
- Experience in analyzing Client infrastructure to ensure that the infrastructure is ready for the Datacenter and Virtualization.
- Experience in backup technologies Commvault, EMC Networker, Veeam, etc.
- Experience storage (SAN/NAS) and SAN switches, LUN Provision (DELL EMC Unity, Dell EMC Data Domain, HPE-3
PAR) - Experience in VDI platform like VMware Horizon
- Experience in Active Directory & Microsoft Exchange
- Strong understanding of ITIL Processes
