Position Summary

Responsible for end-to-end planning of locally sourced materials (ingredients, packaging, and indirect items) for UAE & KSA operations, ensuring on-time availability, cost efficiency, and zero stock-outs. Converts demand forecasts into material plans, manages inventory, and maintains ERP data accuracy. Collaborates with procurement, production, logistics, and store teams to optimize supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.

Additionally, manages daily delivery operations from 3PL to retail stores and corporate clients across UAE, ensuring OTIF performance and cold-chain compliance. Coordinates schedules, monitors order fulfilment, and resolves delivery issues promptly. Oversees 3PL performance, audits compliance, and supports route optimization and cost-saving initiatives to maintain service excellence and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities Demand & Supply Planning
  • Convert rolling demand forecasts and store/corporate/production plans into material requirements plans for UAE & KSA local suppliers.
  • Maintain item‑level planning parameters: safety stock, reorder points, MOQ, lead times, shelf life, and temperature‑control requirements.
  • Run weekly MRP, raise purchase requisitions, and coordinate POs with procurement.
Inventory & Availability
  • Track on‑hand, in‑transit, and reserved stock; align with FEFO/expiry and cold‑chain constraints.
  • Prevent stock‑outs/overstocks by proactive exceptions management and vendor follow‑up.
  • Manage indirect materials (store consumables, uniforms, cleaning, POS sundries) to store‑level min/max.
Data & Systems
  • Maintain accurate item master, lead times, lot sizes, and planning calendars in ERP.
  • Prepare weekly dashboards: coverage days, plan adherence, supplier OTIF, obsolescence risk, and non‑moving items.
  • Support cycle counts and root‑cause analysis for variances.
Logistics & Delivery Coordination
  • Plan and confirm daily delivery schedules with 3PL for stores and corporate orders.
  • Prioritize urgent deliveries; manage peak season routing.
  • Ensure proper vehicle allocation for cold‑chain compliance.
  • Validate delivery notes against customer orders and ERP records.
  • Monitor POD (Proof of Delivery) closure and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Handle urgent re‑deliveries or last‑minute changes with agility.
3PL Performance & Compliance
  • Track and report OTIF (On‑Time In‑Full) for all deliveries.
  • Escalate delays, shortages, or damages; initiate corrective actions.
  • Conduct weekly reviews with 3PL on SLA adherence and cost optimisation.
  • Ensure cold‑chain standards are maintained during transit (temperature logs, sealed packaging).
  • Verify hygiene and safety compliance of delivery vehicles.
  • Support audits and maintain documentation for food safety regulations.
Customer & Store Support
  • Act as the first point of contact for store managers and corporate clients for delivery issues.
  • Coordinate returns, replacements, and reverse logistics for damaged or near‑expiry items.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive lead‑time reduction, MOQ optimisation, and cost‑saving initiatives with Procurement.
  • Document and refine S&OP handshakes, support audits and SOP updates.
  • Publish daily/weekly delivery performance dashboards (OTIF, cost per drop, temp excursions).
  • Identify route optimisation and cost‑saving opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related.
  • 2+ years in materials planning/procurement and logistics in FMCG/F&B/confectionery (preferred).
  • ERP/WMS experience; strong Excel (Pivot, basic formulas).
  • Knowledge of Incoterms, cold‑chain handling, and food compliance (UAE/KSA).
  • Knowledge of UAE food safety standards and cold‑chain best practices.
Skills & Competencies
  • Hands‑on, responsive, and calm under pressure; strong vendor management.
  • Attention to detail with a safety/compliance mindset.
  • Clear communicator with stores, drivers, and 3PLs.
  • Problem‑solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
