As an AC Technician, your key responsibilities are:
- Ensure that all tools and materials needed are available and take responsibility for their correct usage, in accordance with the necessary established safety rules and procedures to prevent accidents.
- Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Following instructions from the role’s immediate supervisor, carry out all scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance work for the equipment assigned, keeping to quality, time, safety and aesthetic standards as set for each case.
- Daily rounds checking equipment, taking readings and informing the role's immediate superior of any faults.
- Verify and note down work pending in the corresponding record. Ensure that work equipment is in optimum condition and maintain the workshop and other areas perfectly clean and tidy.
- As a member of the fire brigade, respond to any fire alarm signal and follow the corresponding procedures to ensure the physical safety of guests and employees, and to protect hotel property. Attend all training courses and evacuation and fire extinguishing simulations that take place.
- Keep in close communication with one's immediate superior, providing information on work carried out and on any equipment anomalies or irregularities that pose a risk for the smooth running of the hotel.
- Arrive for work on time and follow hotel policies and procedures on matters of discipline, presentation, working hours, transit areas and safety standards as set by the hotel.
- Attend departmental meetings and participate in training programmes for the role on an ongoing basis.
- Carry out all instructions and tasks assigned by the position’s immediate superior, as well as any other responsibilities required by the role.
Additional responsibilities (mandatory to all positions):
- To attend all departmental meetings, briefings & internal or external training sessions as required.
- Establishes and maintains an inclusive environment by ensuring effective two‑way communication processes are set up.
- To act wholeheartedly in the interests of the Company at all times & not to perform, arrange or carry out any work or activity which could be considered to be in competition with or affect in any way the company interests or be detrimental or damaging to it’s public image.
- To handle Duty‑Engineer requests, as per operational demands.
- To do maintenance, troubleshooting and PPM of all kitchen equipment.
- To assist in all pools and fountains maintenances, as per operation’s demand and requests.
- To ensure maximum efficiency, employees are engaged on the basis that they must be prepared to undertake reasonable duties other than those for which they have been specifically engaged.
- Be environmentally friendly, reduce waste, recycle when possible, and reuse whenever applicable.
