Job OverviewHere’s your opportunity to join Global Village as an AVL (Audio, Visual & Lighting) Technician under Dubai Holding Entertainment. In this role, you will ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and safety of all audio, video, and lighting systems within Global Village – Carnaval, while supporting exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high technical standards, and upholding the park’s core values and HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities Compliance and Safety- Comply with Global Village’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.
- Ensure adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements at all times.
- Maintain the safety of guests, staff, and contractors through proactive inspection and risk management.
- Conduct regular safety inspections to identify and correct potential hazards.
- Report and document all incidents, accidents, and risks immediately to Carnaval Management.
- Ensure all work activities are risk assessed, recorded, and compliant with safety standards.
- Promote and maintain a strong HSE culture among staff and contractors.
- Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on a regular basis to ensure all rides and AVL systems are fully operational.
- Support Technical Management in ensuring all maintenance activities are completed on schedule.
- Complete all checklists, logs, and documentation accurately as per the required standard.
- Inspect attractions frequently and record findings through ride maintenance software where available.
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and machinery are used properly and maintained in good condition.
- Support ride operations during park opening, pre‑opening setup, derigging, and off‑season closure.
- Inspect, check, and approve the opening, suspension, and re‑opening of rides and attractions.
- Liaise with third‑party inspection bodies for mandatory ride inspections and certifications.
- Equipment Setup: Install, configure, and test audio, video, and lighting systems including speakers, microphones, projectors, monitors, mixing consoles, and control equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve AVL‑related faults efficiently during park operations. Replace or repair faulty cables, connectors, or components as needed.
- Maintenance & Calibration: Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of AVL systems to ensure optimal performance, sound quality, and visual clarity.
- Testing & Quality Control: Conduct performance tests using specialized tools and software to verify system functionality and make necessary adjustments.
- Equipment Upgrades: Stay updated with new AVL technologies and recommend system upgrades or improvements to enhance guest experiences.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all company safety protocols when handling electrical and AVL equipment in accordance with HSE guidelines.
