Maintenance Technician (Plastic Manufacturing)

- Inspects all equipment and auxiliaries daily for unusual function, sounds and wear conditions.
- Reports immediately to maintenance supervisor/manager for appropriate analysis and corrective action.
- Coordinates with maintenance supervisor/manager for daily activities and maintenance plan schedule.
- Attends any breakdown affecting production, carries out troubleshooting, and repairs in an effective, resourceful and professional manner.
- Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as injection machines, blowing machines, air compressors, pumps and others.
- Responsible for safekeeping of maintenance hand tools and equipment.
- Carries out preventive maintenance of all machines and equipment as per maintenance plan/schedule.
- Ensures availability and proper arrangements of spare parts.
- Provides accurate and timely maintenance reporting (downtimes, spare parts).
- Participates in installations and other projects given by superior.
- Daily log and record keeping as per SOPs.
- Follows the production schedule to determine the kind of repair works or PMs that can be performed without impacting overall machine efficiency.
- Can troubleshoot electrical process issues.
- Has basic change‑over knowledge and supports the changeover team if required.
- Supports production in daily machine running activities; training will be provided.
- Reports any issue that impacts overall performance to the superior.
- Proper execution/reporting of all requested reports.
- Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at any point of time.
- Responsible for maintenance of LV & HV power room and transformers.
- Troubleshooting and repair of drives, modules, PLCs and others.
- Maintains spare parts room and performs reconciliation.
- Assists or performs mechanical maintenance if required.
- Knowledge of plastics extrusion blow molding and/or injection molding equipment, processes and control systems.
- At least 3-5 years maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience in the plastic manufacturing industry; in-depth knowledge of the plastic process.
- Ability to work Day & Night Shift.
- Certificate in Mechatronic preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Operating System.
- Ability to learn usage of maintenance software for data input and research parts.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Professional attitude in dealing with individuals at all levels and handling confidential information.
