Position: CNC Machinist (DMG, Mazak, Integrex)

The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and is responsible for maintaining part quality, safety standards & company equipment's.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITY & AUTHORITY:

• Follow all safety rules and policies provided by NOV.
• Produce/Machine threaded Connections & parts as per the provided drawing and program.
• Inspect and verify that each thread & part is generated as per the provided specification.
• Follow all the guidelines provided by the Superintendent.
• Maintain a neat and dean working environment.
• Responsible for all company equipment's care, use, and protection. Know, understand, and follow all company and department safety rules.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Perform other duties as assigned by Superintendent.
• Perform job duties accurately and responsibly. Verify part and work order.

BEHAVIORAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

• Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine the need for adjustments.
• Study First article parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to Machining products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.

  Good math skills will help CNC machinists understand complex instructions, w schematics work, and ensure items are designed and built correctly.
• Problem-Solving
  
  Skills:
  
  - CNC machinists will need to know why machines are not at peak performance, how to increase output, and how to fix errors.
• Attention to Detail:
  
  - CNC machinists will work with precision equipment. Being off by millimeters & Inches (Thousandth of an inch.) could be a critical error. Keen attention to detail is required.
• Mechanical and Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  - Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM technology.
• Stamina:
  
  - CNC machinists often work long hours doing repetitive movements.
• Conceptual
  
  Skills:
  
  - Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail, and Judgment.

Qualifications (Education/No. of Years of Experience):

• Industrial / Manufacturing Diploma post-High School or vocational training courses in mechanical engineering with 2 years of experience.
• Work experience in Turner, Machinist, and Fitter trades.
• Experience:

• DMG –Beta & Gamma
• Mazak Machines (ST450, STN
  500/550M),
• ROMI Machine (M33, M43),
• Doosan (Puma
  700LM, DBC
  130L).
• Oil & Gas experience in the manufacturing field.

Skills, Training, special knowledge, and/or Language skills:

• Candidate must be familiar with operating a CNC machine, on Rotatory Shoulder Connections (API, Grant Prideco, Tenaris, Vam, etc.) and HWDP (Drill pipe, Drill Collars, and Drill Stem Components).
