The Production Engineer is responsible for managing and controlling all factory floor production activities for aluminum and steel works, ensuring fabrication is executed accurately, efficiently, and to European system standards, in line with approved drawings, production schedules, and site requirements. This role is critical in maintaining high-quality output, minimizing rework, and ensuring smooth coordination between design, factory, and site teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage daily factory production operations for aluminum and steel works.
Allocate tasks, priorities, and manpower across fabrication teams.
Ensure production sequencing aligns with site installation schedules.
Monitor factory productivity and output efficiency.
Prepare daily, weekly, and project-based production plans.
Coordinate production priorities based on:
- Site requirements
- Delivery dates
- Material availability
Review approved shop drawings before fabrication.
Ensure strict adherence to latest approved drawings.
Coordinate with draughtsman on:
- System details
- Profiles
- Tolerances
Enforce factory production checklists.
Ensure fabrication complies with aluminum systems standards, including but not limited to:
- Profile tolerances
- Corner quality
- Drainage design
- Hardware and gasket installation
Stop production if quality standards are not met.
Coordinate with the Site Supervisor to align factory output with site installation sequencing.
Ensure fabricated items are:
- Properly labeled
- Packed and protected
- Delivered in correct installation order
Coordinate with procurement for aluminum system profiles, hardware, and accessories.
Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage.
Report material shortages or issues proactively.
Supervise factory technicians, fabricators, and helpers.
Ensure skill-appropriate task allocation.
Identify training needs and skill gaps.
Maintain discipline, productivity, and safety standards.
Enforce safety procedures and best practices on the factory floor.
Ensure machines, tools, and workstations are safe and organized.
Maintain a clean, efficient production environment.
Prepare and submit:
- Daily production reports
- Weekly progress summaries
- Quality and rejection reports
Approve production sequencing and factory priorities.
Stop fabrication for quality or technical non-compliance.
Recommend process improvements and corrective actions.
Escalate production risks or delays to management.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Production / Industrial Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent extensive hands‑on experience)
- Minimum 8+ years experience in aluminum & steel fabrication factories
- Minimum 8+ years experience in factory floor management
- Minimum 8+ years experience in high-end aluminum systems
- Proven experience working with European aluminum systems such as Schüco, Reynaers, Alumil, Technal, and similar premium systems
- Strong factory leadership & planning skills
- Deep technical knowledge of European aluminum systems
- Excellent drawing interpretation
