Assistant Manager – Leasing and Property Management
Role Summary
The Assistant Manager, Properties is responsible for all leasing, property management, and tenant relations activities across the Properties portfolio. The role supports senior management by driving leasing performance
, ensuring operational excellence, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and compiling market intelligence to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Implement leasing and property management strategies in alignment with management directives.
- Generate new leads, strengthen current relationships, qualify prospects, and conduct property viewings.
- Negotiate, prepare, and administer lease agreements while coordinating with internal teams to optimize leasing operations and maximize occupancy and revenue.
- Ensure all lease agreements, approvals, and documents are accurately prepared, reviewed, and maintained for annual audits.
- Ensure all leasing activities comply with contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the delivery of core and ancillary revenue streams across the portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong tenant relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving concerns to promote a positive tenant experience.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and industry developments to support strategy and decision-making.
- Represent the Properties division with internal stakeholders, external partners, and relevant Local Authorities.
- Deliver accurate and timely leasing, occupancy, and performance reports for management review.
- Support annual budget planning and ensure accuracy of rental payments, invoicing, and collections.
- Assist in managing default cases and litigation by coordinating with in-house legal teams and external entities.
- Ensure all operational activities adhere to approved systems, processes, and procedures.
- Support senior management with additional tasks and special projects as required.
- Set clear performance objectives and KPIs in alignment with business goals.
- Mentor, guide, and support team members to strengthen capabilities and enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor team performance using structured performance management practices.
- Foster a results-driven, collaborative environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property/lease management software.
- Strong understanding of market research, competitor analysis, and tenant relationship management.
- Solid knowledge of leasing processes, agreements, negotiations, and legal compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
- Client-centric mindset with strong multitasking and attention-to-detail capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in real estate
, retail leasing
, or property management support roles. - At least 3 years of experience leading small teams
, managing multi-site portfolios, larger budgets, or complex property operations. - Proven experience in leasing, tenant relations, negotiations
, and cross-functional coordination.
