Position: Assistant Category Manager (Consumer electronics' Accessories)

Job Summary

To support our Consumer Electronics Accessories category. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to build a solid career in Category Management
, gain hands-on retail experience, and eventually grow into a full Category Manager role.

If you have a passion for consumer electronics, strong analytical skills, and enjoy coordinating with vendors and cross-functional teams, we want to speak with you!

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Category Manager in executing category strategies & business plans
  • Coordinate with vendors for orders, promotions, and follow-ups
  • Track sales performance, stock levels, margins & promotional outcomes
  • Prepare analytical reports using Excel/ERP tools
  • Support negotiations on vendor terms, pricing, and promotional contributions
  • Coordinate with marketing & retail teams for campaign implementation
  • Monitor competitor pricing, assortments & market trends
  • Maintain accurate data entry and updates in ERP systems
  • Provide operational and administrative support to the category team
  • Contribute ideas to improve assortment, profitability, and category performance
Skills
  • Category management knowledge (preferably Accessories)
  • Strong analytical & numerical ability
  • Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Reporting)
  • Vendor coordination & negotiation support
  • ERP system knowledge (Retail ERP preferred)
  • Understanding of consumer electronics accessories
  • Sales & stock analysis capability
  • Pricing & promotional planning fundamentals
  • Competitor and market research skills
  • Excellent communication & cross-functional teamwork
Experience Required
  • 5–7 years in category management (Consumer electronics accessories), merchandising, or retail buying
  • Familiarity with retail ERP systems & Excel-based reporting tools
Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail, or a related field

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment
