Head of Retail Operations & Expansion-Arabic Speaker Job Purpose
To lead the establishment and expansion of a supermarket retail chain across multiple residential properties, starting from concept development through launch and scalable growth. The role is responsible for strategy, operations, supplier setup, branding, and marketing alignment.
Key Responsibilities- Develop the end-to-end business model for the supermarket chain.
- Define market positioning, pricing strategy, and target customer segments.
- Create a scalable rollout plan across multiple locations.
- Lead supermarket setup from scratch, including layout planning, product mix, and supplier sourcing.
- Identify and onboard suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supply chain operations.
- Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all outlets.
- Oversee daily operations standards and ensure consistency across all branches.
- Define staffing structure, hiring needs, and training plans.
- Monitor inventory management, shrinkage control, and operational efficiency.
- Develop the supermarket brand identity and in-store customer experience.
- Coordinate launch campaigns and ongoing promotions.
- Work with marketing teams to drive footfall and customer loyalty.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cost-control strategies.
- Track KPIs including sales performance, margins, and operational costs.
- Ensure profitability and continuous performance improvement.
- Lead the rollout of new branches across multiple locations.
- Ensure consistency of brand, operations, and customer experience.
- Identify opportunities for growth, partnerships, and optimization.
- +7 years of proven experience in retail supermarket chains or multi-branch retail operations.
- Strong background in business setup, operations, and expansion.
- Experience in supply chain management and vendor negotiations.
- Solid understanding of retail marketing and customer behavior.
- Strong leadership, project management, and strategic thinking skills.
- Experience launching retail concepts from scratch.
- Data-driven decision-making and financial acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple locations simultaneously.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
