Senior Backend Laravel Developer

We are looking for an experienced Backend-focused Laravel Developer to join our team and help design, build, and scale complex distributed systems. This role is centered on backend architecture
, microservice-based systems
, multi-tenant platforms

, with frontend work considered secondary.

You will work on mission-critical systems that serve tens of thousands of active users, process real-time financial and trading data, and require a strong emphasis on performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

Finotive is building a complete ecosystem for modern retail traders, combining fintech, brokerage, and investment solutions into a unified platform. All products are developed fully in-house, allowing us to move fast while maintaining strict control over quality, security, and architecture.

As a Backend Laravel Developer, you will focus on:

• Designing and evolving backend architectures for scalable SaaS platforms
• Building and maintaining microservices and modular systems
• Implementing and managing multi-tenant architectures
• Designing APIs, background workers, and async processing pipelines
• Working with event-driven and event-sourced systems
• Optimizing performance at the database, application, and infrastructure level
• Collaborating closely with the Dev Lead on architectural decisions

Frontend work exists but is not the primary responsibility of this role.

We prioritize clear boundaries, well-defined responsibilities, and predictable system behavior. Business logic is isolated, infrastructure concerns are abstracted, and every new feature is designed to fit cleanly into the existing ecosystem.

Testing is a core requirement, not an afterthought. We use Pest for fast, readable tests and run automated test suites in CI pipelines on every change. This allows us to deploy confidently and iterate without fear.

For critical domains, we use Event Sourcing to ensure full auditability, traceability, and system transparency. Events serve as the source of truth, enabling:

• Accurate historical reconstruction
• High testability
• Scalable and decoupled system evolution

Our development and operational stack includes:

• Laravel & PHP (latest versions)
• MySQL, Redis, queues, and background workers
• CI/CD pipelines with automated testing

Bonus experience (not required but highly valued):

• AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, SQS, Cloud Watch, IAM)
• Docker and containerized workflows
• Monitoring, logging, and alerting
• Dev Ops or production infrastructure ownership
