Backend Software Engineer, Global Travel Business, Dubai

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain highly available, high‑performance, scalable server‑side solutions for Byte Dance travel products.
• Explore and implement tools and processes to improve team efficiency and technical construction.
• Contribute through all stages of the product delivery cycle, including requirement review, system design, testing communication, monitoring, operation, and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in Java or Go with experience in JVM / Go pprof tuning.
• Knowledge of distributed system design patterns, message queues, distributed storage, cache, lock, and related technologies.
• Understanding of operating systems, computer networks, information security; strong data structures and algorithms skills.
• Experience with MySQL and mainstream No
  
  SQL databases, with optimization and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Familiarity with at least one scripting language and ability to troubleshoot on Linux.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; capable of leading medium‑ and large‑scale projects.
• Preferred: familiarity with AI/ML and ability to apply them to business domain.
