Zurich Workplace Solutions (ZWS) is an entity from Zurich International located in the heart of the DIFC’s International Financial Centre. They provide localized workplace savings solutions that offer flexibility, control and make a positive difference to long‑term financial security.

ZWS are the Administrator of the DIFC Employee Workplace Savings plan (DEWS), a progressive end‑of‑service benefit plan introduced within the DIFC in 2020.

To support our expansion, we’re looking for a dynamic and passionate Full Stack Developer to join the IT department. Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure, in the role you will support the front and backend development. This includes understanding existing software and APIs as well as designing and developing new solutions for Zurich customers.

• Connect to DB's with EF core
• Manage DB schemas with EF core (migrations)
• Develop software with test driven approach.
• Address issues reported from our security scanning tools (Sonar Qube, API Right)
• Test Web API's via Postman.
• API management via Mulesoft or something similar.
• Design, code and maintain mobile/ web applications user experiences end-to-end.
• Optimize code for performance, stability and maintainability.
• Work with a cross‑functional team of cloud engineers, application/UI software engineers, QA/Validation and Dev Ops.
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Reach out to the open‑source community to encourage and help implement mission‑critical software fixes.
• Measure the success of the products with key metrics.
• Deploying of React Native applications to Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

To be successful in your role, you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology and 5 or more years of experience in building production client‑side or mobile applications.
• Understanding of Insurance, corporate savings and pensions / end of service benefits being strongly preferred.
• Previous experience working within an international and diverse cultural organization would be beneficial.

• Experience working in agile environment
• Able to manage own tasks and estimate effort to plan what is possible within a sprint

• Cross disciplinary understanding:
  An individual with a grasp of design principles and user experience as they can bridge the gap between code and user interfaces..
• Customer centric mindset i.e thinking on the lines of “Customer First”
• Problem‑solving skills to identify the source of issues
• Effective communication skills – Fluency in English (Must Have)
• Quick / Fast learner
• Proactive & Positive attitude - Not shy to ask for support if needed
