Overview

Transportation Manager - Quick Service Restaurant. A brand-new role of Transportation Supervisor has appeared for a well-known Quick Service Restaurant company based in the UAE. Primary responsibilities include managing distribution and transportation of goods to branches across the UAE.

• Handle the transport operations of the UAE warehouse on outgoing logistics to multiple dining establishment shops.
• Execute cost-saving initiatives to improve service and minimize running costs.
• Coordinate with other divisions in the execution of daily operations and tasks.
• Be accountable for achievement and tracking Transportation KPIs.
• Prepare transport information as needed.
• Analyze variances between targets and actual performance.

• University graduate of business or engineering.
• 4-5 years of experience in the UAE.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory position of a similar nature and 5 years in outbound logistics.
• Experience in Quick Service Restaurant operations.
• Managed a minimum fleet size of 50 vehicles.
• Experience handling vehicle services transferring chilled or frozen products.
• Experience managing a team of 29 drivers and 22 vehicles, including 3rd party logistics carriers.
• Experience overseeing transport procedures with a minimum of 500 shipments weekly.
• Experience managing budgets.
• Understanding of logistics monitoring in a consumer product distribution market.
• Proficient in route management, fleet management, and fleet maintenance.
• Efficient project management, e.g., implementation of cost-saving projects and campaigns.
• Proficient in preparing presentation materials and business cases.
