Job Title: Air Freight Specialist
Location: Dubai, UAE
Job OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Air Freight Specialist to join our logistics operations team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience in air freight forwarding within the UAE, a strong client portfolio, and thorough knowledge of air cargo operations, documentation, and international shipping standards. IATA certification (preferred) and fluency in English are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities- Handle end-to-end air freight operations, including booking, routing, scheduling, and coordination with airlines and ground handling agents
- Prepare, verify, and manage all air freight documentation (Air Waybill, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, etc.)
- Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, freight agents, and clients to ensure smooth clearance and on-time delivery
- Manage shipments in compliance with IATA regulations and airline requirements
- Maintain and grow business from an existing client portfolio while identifying new air freight opportunities
- Monitor flight schedules, cargo status, and resolve operational issues promptly
- Ensure accurate application of Incoterms for all air freight shipments
- Stay updated with airline schedules, freight rates, fuel surcharges, and regulatory changes
- Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Finance, Customer Service) to ensure seamless service delivery
- Minimum 3 years of experience in air freight forwarding operations within Dubai, UAE
- Existing client portfolio is mandatory
- Strong knowledge of air cargo procedures, documentation, and Incoterms
- IATA certification or IATA exam cleared (preferred / advantage)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office and freight forwarding / logistics software
