Tax Accountant – Dudley (Office Based, Up to £40,000 DOE)

Location : Dudley, West Midlands

Salary : £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client, a respected and growing accountancy practice in Dudley, is seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join their friendly team. • Prepare and submit personal tax returns, trust returns, residential property returns, and P11
  
  Ds.
• Manage client queries relating to personal tax, P11
  
  Ds, inheritance tax, trusts (desirable), and general tax planning.
• Produce tax computations and provide advice on PAYE / NIC and tax-efficient structures.
• Advise on residency matters including Statutory Residence Tests and Certificates of Residence.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with individuals, trustees, and business clients.
• Liaise with HMRC to resolve queries and ensure compliance.
• Manage and develop your own client portfolio, ensuring timely delivery of work.
• Support the accounts team with accounts preparation where needed (experience beneficial).

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a tax-focused role within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory work.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage your own workload with accuracy and efficiency.
• ATT / CTA qualification (or working towards) advantageous but not essential.
