Metrology Engineer

Job Description

We are a market-leading automotive manufacturer, renowned for innovation and quality in the automotive industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Metrology Engineer to join our dynamic production team. In this key role, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining CMM machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality.

• Ensure the calibration system is in adherence to the systems or customer specific requirements.
• Carry out product measurements using the coordinate measurement machine (CMM) and laser scanner.
• Ensure that all reports are formatted to requirements analysis completed prior to distribution.
• Ensure adherence to internal timing plans for measurement programs.
• Coach and guide others on the correct use of gauging in the manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate measurement systems analysis and statistical process control studies.

• Works with precision and attention to detail.
• Proficient in the use of a Mitutoyo coordinate measurement machine (CMM) and the use of MCOSMOS (or similar) software.
