Salary: £29,000 base, up to £38,655 with shift allowance and company share options
Hours:
10:30pm - 7:30am, Monday to Friday (with occasional Saturday morning)

Full-time, Permanent. NEED A FORKLIFT LICENSE!
An established UK-based logistics and distribution company based in Halesowen is seeking a Night Shift Supervisor to oversee a small warehouse team. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership ability, proven supervisory experience, and a solid background in logistics operations. The successful candidate must hold a valid forklift licence, have practical warehouse and logistics experience, and be confident with planning and coordinating work across a night shift environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all night shift operations comply with health and safety standards, addressing any issues promptly.
- Lead, motivate, and support the night shift team, promoting a positive and productive working environment.
- Oversee staffing duties including monitoring attendance, approving leave, and managing performance.
- Allocate and supervise tasks to ensure all orders are picked, processed, packaged, and dispatched accurately and on time.
- Assist with and, when required, independently manage route and workload planning.
- Maintain safe and efficient stock handling – correcting poor storage, packaging issues, or missing labels.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and escape operational problems where appropriate.
- Provide training and ensure the team maintains required skills and competencies.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with environmental and operational standards.
- Manage documentation and processes in line with company quality procedures.
- Complete pre‑shift checks and ensure safe loading/unloading of vehicles.
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, using standard documentation and photo evidence where helpful.
- Support the recruitment and development of new team members.
- Supervisory or team leader experience within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift licence with hands‑on operational experience.
- Strong logistics knowledge, including planning, routing, and workflow coordination.
- Effective communicator with the ability to lead by example.
