Logistics Supervisor

Primary Purpose of the Job

To plan, organise, coordinate and supervise the Heavy Vehicle activities related to the services in Dukhan Fields such as daily allocation of heavy vehicles and equipment to the requesting departments to ensure smooth operations in the most cost efficient & effective manner and for the project requirements for Shutdowns. Prepare, coordinate and monitor the section’s objectives, plans, annual budget and administrative matters to achieve the desired targets.

Manage the Purchasing process with regard to the replacement of heavy vehicles and equipment.

10 years’ experience in transport operations & related contracts administration, including at least 5 years in supervisory capacity preferably in an Oil & Gas company. Should possess good experience in the specification, tender, award, installation, maintenance and commissioning of mechanical project contract works.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of International Mechanical Engineering, Safety standards, and Quality Management principles and practices and have an extensive knowledge of Logistics, Engineering, Technical and Transportation concepts. Computer literate in mainstream Office products and have had exposure to online management, document and maintenance systems including SAP.

University Degree in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent discipline, and excellent command of written and spoken English.
