Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer County Council Hybrid working - 2 days per week office attendance Starting salary: £59,868 Sellick Partnership are delighted to be working with a well-respected County Council in the South East to seek a Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer to join their friendly team on a permanent basis. Responsibilities of the Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer:
Provide quality proactive legal advice on issues including, but not limited to, Public Contract Regulations matters, Company law, Subsidy Control, NEC's and JCT construction Contracts, and general contract queries Conduct of a full, varied and demanding caseload Senior Lawyers play an active role in the management of the team, and you will be expected to deputise for the Principal Solicitor alongside actively contributing to the future delivery of first-class legal services Benefits of the Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer role 26 days' holiday (prorated for part time staff), rising to 28 days after 2 years' service and 30 days after 5 years' service Option to buy up to 10 days of additional annual leave An extensive Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to support health and wellbeing Up to 5 days of carer's leave per year Paternity, adoption and dependents leave A generous local government salary related pension Lifestyle discounts including gym, travel, shopping and many more 2 paid volunteering days per year Learning and development hub where you can access a wealth of resources As a Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer, you will have experience in the following skills and abilities:
Negotiating and drafting experience such as construction contracts, service agreements, facilities management services Providing solutions-focused and enabling advice on a range of matters and an ability to learn quickly about subjects in which you may not have had prior experience Effective team working, including managing competing priorities to achieve client/statutory deadlines Interested in applying for the Senior Contracts & Procurement Lawyer role?
