Service Manager
Base pay range: £51,547 - £57,647 (Full‑time, 37hrs per week, Permanent, Dumfries).
Because People Matter at Turning Point Scotland, we invite you to join our team to lead the Dumfries & Galloway Learning Disability service.
About the RoleAs the Registered Manager, you will be an experienced leader guiding a team that supports individuals with a wide range of needs. You will provide practical and emotional support, encouraging them to achieve personal outcomes in all aspects of daily life, including safety, meaningful activities, community involvement, physical health, relationships, and emotional wellbeing.
Responsibilities- Maintain the continuing relevance of services to individuals’ needs and purchaser requirements through ongoing planning, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Oversee the financial aspects of the service, managing significant budgets and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Lead the development of new services, support business growth, and preserve reputational excellence.
- Comply with governance, law, and legislation, including local authority compliance, Care Inspectorate (level 5 and above), SSSC and safeguarding procedures.
- Assist senior management in streamlining, promoting, and monitoring quality assurance systems that meet the needs of individual services and the overall regional delivery.
- Develop, monitor, and implement supervision and appraisal systems for staff.

You Should Also Have- Experience working with vulnerable people and leading a service delivery team, ensuring a safe operating environment.
- The ability to negotiate with internal and external partners, building positive relationships with local authorities and housing associations.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills, prioritising time and workload to meet competing tasks, even under pressure.
- Social Service and Health Care at level 9 (SCQF) or another qualification recognised by the SSSC for registration, plus a relevant management qualification.
