American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN with an OK or compact license for a night shift position covering both adult and pediatric patients.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Medical Surgical unit
- May be required to cover pediatric patients as needed
- Night shifts are 12 hours (18:45 - 7:15), three shifts per week
- Every other weekend coverage is required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating to other units is required
- Use of Meditech charting system, with prior experience preferred
- Required to wear blue scrubs for nursing
- Locals are accepted for this position
- Responsibilities include caring for adult and pediatric Med/Surg patients and performing feeding tube care and IV therapy as needed
- Work in a supportive hospital team environment within a 110-bed facility
- First-time travelers will be considered
- No parking cost for staff
- RTO requests must be submitted with application
- Facility is voluntary nonprofit and has been serving the community for over 45 years
- Active OK or compact state RN license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required, 2 years preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certifications preferred
- Feeding tube care, IV therapy, and phlebotomy experience preferred
- Tele experience preferred but not required
- Must provide two references for consideration
