In this hands-on and detail-oriented role, you will be responsible for coordinating daily shipping operations, managing domestic and international freight, negotiating competitive shipping rates, and improving logistics processes. In a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator job you’ll be responsible for:- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving operations, including truck scheduling, pickups, deliveries, and shipment documentation.
- Manage relationships with freight carriers and negotiate competitive rates for domestic and international shipments.
- Coordinate international shipments, customs documentation, and shipping compliance.
- Oversee packaging and palletizing activities to ensure shipments are accurate, secure, and ready for delivery.
- Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs, improve processes, and increase operational efficiency.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, freight coordination, or supply chain operations.
- Experience scheduling trucks, coordinating carriers, and negotiating freight rates.
- Knowledge of international shipping documentation, customs procedures, and freight handling.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with shipping or ERP systems.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.
