An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join NHS Tayside as a Finance Manager
. This role offers the chance to work in a fast‑paced, complex, and rewarding environment, contributing to the financial strategy and operational management of NHS Tayside.
As a Finance Manager
, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial future of health and social care services, making a real difference to communities across Tayside.
NHS Tayside covers the Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross localities, serving a population of 414,000 and employing over 14,000 staff. We work collaboratively with our three Integration Joint Boards and other stakeholders, including local authorities, universities and third‑sector partners.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance – Infrastructure, the post holder will ensure a robust management accounts service is provided to NHS Tayside and support strong financial management within the organisation.
Responsibilities- Provide reliable, timely and accurate financial information and forecasts.
- Ensure a robust management accounts service for NHS Tayside.
- Assist the finance team in supporting strong financial management.
- Adhere to mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
- Comply with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
- Experience in a finance role with extensive knowledge of the local finance agenda.
- Demonstrated understanding of the strategic objectives of NHS Tayside.
- Able to work autonomously and use creative problem‑solving skills.
- Must meet mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
- Commitment to comply with the Code of Conduct.
Monday – Friday, standard office hours.
