This is an exciting opportunity to join my client, a well-respected, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy, dedicated to broadening their geographical reach by launching a brand new office location in stunning Scotland. Known for lending their expertise to a range of high-profile projects across the landscape architecture, planning, and civil engineering fields, they are actively seeking a willing, capable Senior Civil Engineer with extensive knowledge of infrastructure design, who is willing to take on an array of challenging new projects.

You will be working alongside a newly-established team of design professionals, based near the pretty, family-friendly city of Dunfermline.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

Contributing to the design of projects and developments across the local region, and beyond
Overseeing the day-to-day running of various projects, from inception through to successful delivery/implementation
Mentoring and supporting colleagues throughout their professional development
Liaising with a range of clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors
Preparing and checking technical documents, including reports, specifications, drawings, calculations, and more
Adhering to company policies, procedures, and best practice, ensuring you continually uphold the appropriate health and safety standards
Acting as a company representative at client meetings, site visits, etc.

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

A UK First Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a similar, relevant discipline)
Possess Chartered Status with a recognised professional body (e.g., ICE)
Demonstrable experience of working in a design-based role, within a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority setting
Considerable experience of working on infrastructure (namely highways and drainage), housing developments, and energy projects

Experience of earthworks design and drainage network modelling
Proficient in the use of various software systems (including Civils 3D, Micro Drainage, AutoCAD, etc.)
Considerable experience of writing and checking a number of different technical documents
Extensive experience of liaising with clients and stakeholders
Outstanding organisation, time management, team leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Civil Engineer include:

A UK Higher Degree in a cognate discipline

Experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments and Transport Assessments

Experience of leading projects/teams

Experience of working in a public-facing role
Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
